About The Artist
Anne grew up in South Alabama. After graduating from high school, she attended Auburn University. While a student there, she worked for the head of the Art Department. After raising her family of four children, she picked up a brush and rekindled her lost love of painting. Her first endeavor was decorative painting, then acrylics, watercolors and finally her medium, oil.Her education in painting has been a lot of self-study...books, videos, cd's and attending workshops. She says "I have been very fortunate to be able to travel extensively to study with some of the best artists in this country and in Europe". One of her favorite artist is the late Russian impressionist, Sergei Bongart. She has studied with several instructors who are his former students, including German artist, Guido Frick.
"I am so blessed because my love of painting has shown me the beauty of nature in a way I never thought possible. Everyday is a precious gift. I start each day standing at my easel with my brush in hand, ready to create. For me, at this place in my life, this is about as good as it gets!"
Anne resides in Bay Point which is located in Panama City, Florida where she has a home studio. Her work can be viewed in person or by appointment. Select "Where To Buy" above for a list of participating galleries.
